Kalyan, Your e-mail to sourceforge was blocked because the IP address of the mail server sending the mail is blacklisted. I'm guessing your using a mail server on your local linux box to send the mail. This is going to cause you problems because your ISP has put all dynamic IP addresses that it allocates to users into anti-spam blacklists, one of which sourceforge is using. This is becoming standard practice for ISPs. It is done to prevent someone from becoming a subscriber and then using their allocated IP address to send out spam. When this occurs, the ISP runs the risk of all their IP addresses and all client e-mails being blocked as they are tagged as a spammer or friendly to spammers. The solution is not to use your own mail server to send mail, but instead configure your mail client to send mail via your ISP - that is, set your mail server to the name of your ISPs mail server. This will mean your ISPs mail server IP address will be associated with your e-mails and this is unlikely to be in any blacklists. If that happens, the ISP will soon get a lot of complaints from angry clients. I use the following in my .emacs to have mail sent via my ISPs mail server (setq send-mail-function 'smtpmail-send-it) (setq message-send-mail-function 'smtpmail-send-it) (setq smtpmail-default-smtp-server "mail.internode.on.net") ;(setq smtpmail-sendto-domain "rapttech.com.au") ;(setq smtpmail-debug-info t) You probably don't need the 4th line - I don't seem to . the last line is useful for debugging problems, but I leave it commented out normally.
