emacspeak speak out `ts0 after each character

I have installed emacspeak with voxin speach server. 
Emacspeak starts by "/usr/bin/tcl /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/emacspeak/servers/outloud"

Versions:
GNU Emacs 21.4.1
Revision: 17.0 of outload
Emacspeak version: 17.0-1.2
Emacspeak is installed using apt-get in Ubuntu 7.10.

The problem is the general experience voxin installs and run smoothly, however the character echo of alphanumeric characters causes some trouble both on direct input and when when moving curson character by character. The problem is that the speach server adds `ts0 to each output chacarcter.

We have checked the emacspeak list archives and cannot find any clues.

Has anyone any suggestion for fixing this problem?
