Re: Running servers/outloud on 64-bit machings

Hello Guys

I am a emacspeak newbie, I want to introduce emacspeak at our local society for the blind here in Jamaica, but  I thought  I would run through it first.
When I run emacspeak , I get the following message in the  *Message* buffer => "Process speaker  not running"
I am running ubuntu 9.04, I also have espeak installed. How can I fix this ?

Thanks for your help

I did this six or seven years ago to get Software DECTALK running with
Emacspeak. If you need to compile 32-bit code, as I did, make sure that the
-m32 option is specified to gcc.

I don't run proprietary 32-bit code anymore, so I haven't had to repeat the
process in recent years.
