Emms from git and emacspeak

Hi All,
I was wondering if anybody else had experienced problems getting the
speech-enabling components of emacspeak to work with the latest version
of emms from Git?  
For some reason, the speech which should be triggered when moving
through a playlist, for instance, isn't.  I'm using espeak as speech
server with emacspeak from svn.  I'm wondering what would be necesary to
update this module to work again?
