I tried to use 

# emacspeak 2>> emacspeak.errors.txt 

and 

# emacspeak > emacspeak.errors.txt

But neither seemed to give me any errors.

If I click on the "process server not running" - I get the sequence of events - all of which were OK.

Emacspeak is so wonderful to use - even it requires a bit of undertaking to remember all the key strokes because it does everything plus the impossible!
