I have the following in ~/.emacs: (setq custom-file "/home/chris/.emacs-cust.el") (load custom-file) Emacs stores its customizations in ~/.emacs-cust.el, instead of ~/.emacs. This unclutters your .emacs just a little bit, since all the code generated by customize is moved out of the way. I'm also a flite user, but I got the hang of customize by doing a bit of experimenting with it. Your suggestions about customize-group and customize-variable are helpful; I use customize-group regularly. -- Chris ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the emacspeak list or change your address on the emacspeak list send mail to "emacspeak-request@xxxxxxxxxxx" with a subject of "unsubscribe" or "help".
