Hi,

I'm running the version 24 from git.

GNU Emacs 24.0.50.1 (i386-apple-darwin11.0.0, NS apple-appkit-1138.00)
of 2011-08-17 on bit.local

This is only relatively recent I think.  I can try checking out earlier
versions to find out where it started.
