I recently recompiled emacspeak under emacs 24.1.1 as distributed by fedora. I'm now getting lots of invalid byte code warnings when trying to load things. It's wider than emacspeak but obviously more serious for those of us who rely on emacspeak. I doubt it's an emacspeak problem since a bug has been filed at bugzilla.redhat.com (851788) with a similar problem in another package. I'd advise keeping a backup of your emacspeak tree if you propose to remake and might be in this position. regards Peter -- Peter Rayner room 343 School of Earth Sciences, University of Melbourne, 3010, Vic, Australia tel: work: +61 (0)3 8344 9708; fax: +61 (0)3 8344 7761 mobile +61 402 752 379, skype: petermorag mail-to: prayner@xxxxxxxxxxx and CLIMMOD ENGINEERING http://www.climmod.com mail-to: Peter.Rayner@xxxxxxxxxxx ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the emacspeak list or change your address on the emacspeak list send mail to "emacspeak-request@xxxxxxxxxxx" with a subject of "unsubscribe" or "help".
