If you haven't heard, Google is shutting down Google Reader on July 1. Maybe it'll keep on chugging and just not be supported, but I don't think this is the case. I doubt Google has done much to support Google Reader in the last few years anyway. I think this is more of a retasking of the compute services used to serve up Google Reader. I haven't heard of it being integrated into any other services. The rumor is that RSS is considered irrelevant now and Google is trying to drive more traffic into social networking offerings like Google Plus.
