Re: Speaking a displayed line



I approach this problem by having Speakup set to off with
insert+numpad enter when I am in Emacspeak.  It makes it lurk in the
background without reporting screen changes.  HOwever, if you should
use the number pad keys, you can hear Speakup telling you what's on a
given line, character or word.  It solves the problem nicely for me
and without having to mess with any code either.
