I am now seeing the same issue that Victor had. Shows up as: emacs -batch -q -no-site-file -eval '(progn (package-initialize)(setq byte-compile-warnings t))' -l ".."/lisp/emacspeak-load-path.el -l ".."/lisp/emacspeak-loaddefs.el -l ".."/lisp/emacspeak-cus-load.el -l ".."/lisp/g-client/g-load-path.el -f batch-byte-compile emacspeak-librivox.el In toplevel form: emacspeak-librivox.el:61:1:Error: Wrong type argument: stringp, nil make[1]: *** [emacspeak-librivox.elc] Error 1 make: *** [emacspeak] Error 2 This is on a fresh checkout of git. I've checked that at least from the shell that I'm building from the emacs version is as expected: which emacs /Users/bart/emacs/head/bin/emacs bart@xxxxxxxxxxx:~/hsrc/emacspeak$emacs --version GNU Emacs 25.0.50.1 Copyright (C) 2015 Free Software Foundation, Inc. Is anyone else still seeing this issue? It sounds almost exactly like what Victor was describing but my emacs version looks to be up to date. Any ideas? Kind regards Bart
