C-e dc question

Hello list,
I would like to ask how the capitalization indication beep works. I 
enabled and disabled it and it seems to me that nothing happens. I am 
logging all commands sent to server for debugging purposes. I expected 
that something like "t" command will be sent.
This is a home-made server under Windows so maybe there is something 
different.
