is any one using magit with emacspeak?

Dear all,

I have recently started doing python programming in emacs with emacspeak.

Thanks to every one particularly tim for all the help getting me started.

Now I am facing a strange problem.

I open a directory which has all the files of  my git repository.

I then do magit-status expecting some thing.

But emacspeak does not read any thing.

I use up and down arrow but nothing happens, no audio output.

What could be going wrong?
