Emacspeak and Arch Linux

Hello List,

I just became aware that Arch Linux and it's derivatives have both
emacs-git and emacspeak-git in their Arch User Repository (AUR).

I have a friend who is struggling installing emacs and emacspeak in
Debian.  It used to be easy with a program called
emacspeak-ss which allowed the user to select from many software and
hardware speech generators including software espeak and outloud.
Unfortunately, it is broken and no longer works, at least in Debian
Testing.

My question is:

I have emacspeak working in my computer using arch.

If I were to get my friend to install ARCH using ssh from a talking
computer would emacspeak set itself up automatically if he installs
emacs-git and emacspeak-git?
