Disabling auditory icons selectively

Hey everyone.

After updating to the latest version of Emacspeak I noticed the folowing behavior (it's getting particularly annoying in Clojure buffers): whenever I insert a character or change some portions of the code, Emacspeak seems to play a Crackling auditory icon (apparently for each new character inserted) that overlaps the synthesizer's voice (I'm using Espeak). Sometimes the same behavior occurs when I'm navigating through the code (not sure whether the auditory icons are indicating changes in the indentation), but sometimes the behavior is so frequent that I can't understand what Espeak is reading.

Does anyone knows what might be happening? Is it possible to disable auditory icons selectively? I've looked into some Emacspeak's custom variables, but didn't find anything relevant.

Best regards.
