Since you've taken the trouble to look at part of the code, next step --- look at it in context and understand it. 1. It's not a bug. 2. It only speaks "autospeak" in comint buffers where autospeak is on. 3. If it says that elsewhere, it's likely because emacspeak-comint-autospeak is being set globally in your setup --- --
