The August 1998 issue of the Linux Gazette includes a good introductory
article by Eric Marsden, devoted to the customization of Emacs. Some
subscribers to this list, especially those who are relatively new to
Emacs, may find it useful. The URL from which the article can be obtained
is http://www.linuxgazette.com/issue31/marsden.html. Note that the article
is of general application and therefore not restricted to the use of Emacs
within the Linux environment.
