Porting Emacspeak

Hello,
I have Apollo speech synthesizer from Dolphin Software, which is connected
through serial port to my PC. I was wondering if it is possible to make port
of Emacspeak to this speech synthesizer.
Can anybody tell me what should I do in the beginning.
