Often when an emacspeak session crashes, the virtual terminal (the
software that makes the console act like a DEC VT100 terminal) gets
fouled up. On my system, I fix that by running /usr/bin/reset, which
is a link to /usr/bin/tset. It clears the screen, among other things.
