For those who are interested in exploring further the many uses of
Emacspeak and the thinking underlying its design, I would also recommend
reading T. V. Raman's book, "Auditory User Interfaces, Toward the Speaking
Computer", which is described on his web site and available in ASCII
format (with some ICADD markup) from RFB & D (http://www.rfbd.org/). There
is an entire chapter devoted to the Emacspeak audio desktop, including
section on software development.
