Re: MOO
to give some history-- MOO --or as it was initially called
"lambda moo"
was a project at PARC in 1991 --when I worked at PARC as a
summer intern in 1991, I remember spending many evenings
playing lambda moo.
The person who started the project was Pavel Curtis --I
think he has since moved on from PARC. There have been many
innovations built on top of MOO --in addition to the
ffeatures Anne mentions, one of the more innovative MOOs was
one that provided
an interface to gopher (remember gopher?)--
I remember going to a MOO in 1992 where you picked up the
"newspaper object" and consequently got connected to a
gopher site that carried news and so on.
