hi,
I've just been trying to get remote emacspeak to work out which
machine i logged in from by translating the csh script to bash syntax.
the csh code raman supplies in emacspeak-remote.el uses the command
`who am i` and i have no idea what this command does or where it comes
from. the simple whoami command with no spaces simply returns the
effective uid but i suspect that isn't the correct responce as there
is no mention of where one logged in from.
can someone enlighten me?
thanks
Bart
