I suppose its usefulness also depends on the ease with which one can
switch between the linearized version and the structurally navigable
presentation in which one has the opportunity to navigate by row and
column, as is the Emacspeak default. If there is a simple command for
changing the presentation without re-loading the document, one can gain
the benefit of both renderings.
