Re: New user re mbrola

Yes I'm interested in that new mbrola_server too. I'll build the rpm
packages.

Concerning the stop function, there is a speech library called
'softspeech' done by Roger Butenuth. He uses mbrola too and has some kind
of stop function built in (if my memory serves me right). One could
adopt that for mbrola_server.

His web pages are at
http://www.uni-paderborn.de/cs/heiss/blinux/index.html
and his softspeech package is available at
http://www.uni-paderborn.de/cs/heiss/blinux/speech.tar.gz

PS: If festival segfaults, download the source rpm and do a simple
rpm --rebuild <name_of_festival_package>
This should recompile a binary package (at /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386).
Please let me informed whether install worked fine then.
