Careful, as the construction of your reply would imply that
that emacspeak, by not not following your suggestion, is not a
successfull software project.
Emacspeak is one of several "successfull" free software projects I
have either benifited from or have participated in which have chosen
to do beta testing within a small group and not open it up to
everyone.
One benifit of this system is the one week turn around between beta
and release that Raman consistently provides.
Another is that with a small dedicated user base like emacsepeak has,
it is helpfull to have us all using the same version as it makes our
helping eachother that much easier. That is already hard enough with
people using older versions packaged with linux distributions.
