Hi Chuck,
You have to do two things to use Emacspeak with ViaVoice Outloud:
1. You need to build a certain shared library in order to make the
ViaVoice Outloud server work. You can do this by changing to the
/usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/emacspeak/linux-outloud directory and
typing make
2. You need to let Emacspeak know that it should use the outloud
speech server. You can do this in one of two ways. You can type
the following command and then add it to your .bash_profile file:
export DTK_PROGRAM=outloud
Or you can start Emacspeak with this command: emacspeak -o
