Emacspeak 11.0 and Caldera Linux

Hi All,

I'm new to Emacs and Linux although I've been using
SunOS and Solaris for years on various Sun SPARC workstations.
During all that time I've used vi almost exclusively.

Now I'm finally running the latest Caldera Linux on my PC and want to 
learn to use Emacspeak.


I'm trying to install version 11.0 of emacspeak. When I run emacs it
comes up with the message Xemacs, although I'm in character mode of operation.


Running emacs -version gives:
XEmacs 21.1 (patch 8) "Bryce Canyon" [Lucid] 
(i386-Caldera-linux, Mule) of Thu Feb 17 2000 on bm.calderalabs.com

For the emacspeak installation:
Running make config ran without any problems.

Running make emacspeak gave the output and errors appended below.
files do not provide any suggestions. Any advice would be appreciated.
