Hi Igor,
Emacspeak works with a number of extensions/programs. It doesn't work
with all console applications. However, it does work with the main
programs you need for a comprehensive desktop for Linux. It works
with w3, vm, bbdb, and icq and AIM too, as well as a CDplayer and a
number of sound generators/recorders.
