Hi, This is Doug Smith writing to thank you for your help. I have what
I believe to be a regular soundblaster 16 card. I know it supports
MIDI because, as I understand it, this is what makes emacspeak change
voices in regard to different kinds of context. I'll try setting that
variable and see if that takes care of it.
