I can get find-ss to work reliably and it tells me this is dev tty s 0. I
cannot get tcl ./doubletalk to work reliably, once it gave me a read out on
the voices in the doubletalk and made the available voices announce
themselves successfully. .profile appears to have no effect on bash. I'm
about to try putting DTK_PROGRAM=doubletalk DTK_PORT=/dev/ttyS0 and export
DTK_PROGRAM DTK_PORT into .bashrc and if that fails I'll try .bash_profile.
If that fails I'm taking a vacation from emacspeak. I was trying all of
this with emacspeak 10.0 rpm binary Fortunately exec >/dev/ttyS0 2>&1 can
get my doubletalk talking after log in or that would be a real dead system.
I had to do that exec command to get doubletalk and testit working earlier
to the extent they did. The find-ss doesn't need that done, it works on a
previously silent system right off the keyboard.
