I have used GNU Emacs with JAWS on Windows NT. Going by memory here, I
invoke Emacs from a shortcut like this:
emacs -nw
This puts Emacs in a console window instead of a graphical window. Then
use alt-space and properties, to set the cursor size for the window to
small. JFW can't track the larger cursor sizes by default. I could not
make this work under Windows 95.
You can get Emacs pre-compiled for Windows at www.gnu.org.
