Sorry, I didn't use the debian package of emacspeak. Personally, I
much prefer to install emacspeak from a source tar ball - I like to
put emacspeak (and other stuff I install) in /usr/local which I always
put in its own partition. I find this makes upgrades and changing
distributions much easier as I can format the /usr, /var etc
partitions, but leave /usr/local and /home alone - that way I don't
have to re-install all the custom stuff I have put on etc. It also
makes it easier to ensure I backup stuff as all the non distribution
stuff is in /usr/local and my own stuff in /home - no need to backup
all the other partitions as all the stuff on them is on the CDs.
