Well, perhaps not off topic if the topic is wiring in FREE software speech servers to emacspeak.
A pro pos java 1.4, I tried using the RPMs from Sun a few months ago, shortly after 1.4 was released. I got "read manifest error," an error I'd not
previously seen with rpm (or since, for that matter).
Anyone had better luck?
