My last message to this list had an incorrect "from" field associated
with it. The problem is that the Debian version of Emacs 21.2 sets
mail-from-style to system-default, which doesn't work if you are using
user-mail-address to specify your e-mail address. The solution is to
set mail-from-style to angles (which, but for the Debian modification,
would have been the default anyway).
