Hello.
Recently I noticed that some (esp. the "Set speech rate to ...") messages
have a trailing newline. Under Emacs21, or if resize-minibuffer-mode is active,
this causes the minibuffer to resiz to two lines height
temporarily if such a message is displayed.
One such instance is in dtk-set-rate in lisp/dtk-tcl.el.
Correcting this would save some screen real-estate in those situations,
because if the minibuffer gets enlarged, some window needs to get smaller.
