emacspeak with cs4281

Hello,
	I'm using emacspeak 17.0 on my laptop which is running rh8. I've got
viavoice installed and working fine. I'm having an issue where the speech
server crashes, when it occurs i do not know where it puts it's logs. My
sound card is a cs4281. If anyone is using this card and is having this
issue or has a fix please let me know.
