problem running emacspeak with software dectalk

I am not getting any voice when starting emacspeak with the software
dectalk, but I notice that there were several tcl rocesses and if I
kill them all then I get the voice back.  And it works correctly if I
start emacspeak with another server and do dtk-select-server
interactively.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong or what's wrong with emacspeak?
