process speaker not running because of bad wish

The make returned stdiosynth up to date. so I tried ./midi_tk |
./stdiosynth and got back bad wish interpreter.  I have two versions of
wish on this system, there's wish; and wish8.4.  I'm wondering if using
wish8.4 might solve this problem.
