Emacspeak on Red Hat 7.3

Hello,

I returned to work after a weeks' vacation during which I had subscribed
to this list from my home and got quite a few helpful tips about
installing Emacspeak on my Linux PC.

On return, I found that my PC had been
"renovated": new sound card, motherboard etc and Red Hat 7.3 installed.
Home directory untouched.
Since most of my work is using LaTeX, I installed AucTeX. Then went to
/usr/share/emacs/site-lisp to check that auctex had installed itself. To
my ast
onishment, I found a directory called emacspeak!

Not believing my luck, I opened a shell and typed
$> rpm -q emacspeak
and learnt that it was emacspeak-15.0-4 which had been installed.

So I added the line
(load-file "/usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/emacspeak/lisp/emacspeak-setup.el")
to my scratch buffer and evaluated it (C-x C-e). The result was a debugger
buffer whose contents have been attached. What does this mean?

What does it all mean? How do I get emacspeak to work? Are there any
environment variables to check/set?
Any help will be appreciated.
Cheers.
