Hi.
You will find that YASR is very flexible with hardware synths.
What you need to do is configure the yasr.conf or the  emacspeak driver you
are using such as the Dectalk PC, Dectalk Express, Dectalk Software, etc and
usually it will work fine.
I'm currently set up to use the Dectalk Software speech with YASR, and I
have also done the Dectalk Express this way.
You'll need emacspeak installed, the current emacspeak drivers installed for
your synth. Then, open yasr.conf and uncomment the emacspeak driver, and
give it a synth path to the driver it will use. Exit YASR, restart it, and
it should work.
