Hello,
I have a fedora core 3 system (kernel 2.6.10-1.760_FC3).
I have installed and successfully tested the fonix dectalk 5.0 software. the "say" program works fine.
I installed emacspeak 21.0 from rpms, and now cannot get the dectalk server to work.
I set the EMACSPEAK_DIR environment variable, and run the command:
tcl /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/emacspeak/servers/dtk-soft
I get the following errors:
Error: couldn't load file "/usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/emacspeak/servers/software-dtk/tcldtk.so": libtcl.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
while executing
"load $tclTTS/tcldtk.so"
(file "/usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/emacspeak/servers/dtk-soft" line 305)
Any suggestions appreciated I would really like to use the dectalk server with emacspeak.
TIA,
Don Raikes, accessibility specialist
