Hi Peter,
I would highly suggest not changing your Window manager for Gnome unless you
don't care about the additional accessibility features of Gnome and in
particular metacity.
I can guess your desire to switch to sawfish is do to the emacspeak support
for it. However, it is my understanding sawfish has some accessibility
issues with Gnopernicus and other assistive technologies for gnome.
