A transient solution would be to remove the table related tags.
You may want for example download the w3m sources and modify the
tagtable.tab file which indicates the action related to each tag.
Here is an example of a modified file for w3m 0.5.1:
http://oralux.org/tmp/tagtable.tab
And then compile w3m.
Another possibility would be to use a proxy to remove these tags. An
example based on Privoxy was given in the Biglux mailing list (in
French), last year by Eric Marsden:
