A system for translating LaTeX files to EmacSpeak is introduced at
http://www.cse.ohio-state.edu/~gurari/laspeak/
The system, named LaSpeak, is highly configurable. In its current
initial the presentations are tailored to fit the spirit of Nemeth
braille and MathSpeak.
The American Mathematics Society (AMS) test file
http://www.cse.ohio-state.edu/~gurari/laspeak/testmath.tex is an
example of a LaTeX source heavily loaded with math content. The
emacspeak output from LaSpeak of that file is provided as a demo at
http://www.cse.ohio-state.edu/~gurari/laspeak/testmath-spk.html.
The system is free, offered as open source.
We will be glad to work with individual users to configure the output
of the system to their own needs.
