Hi Lucas,
I just downloaded the source code of the alsa-enabled eflite and built
it. No problems.
I have tested it for about 10 minutes trying to get eflite to stop
talking if I move too fast or interrupt an announcement like "message
discarded period"
This used to plague the old eflite. But I have not succeeded in
getting eflite to stop talking!
This ALONE makes your modifications a great step forward. After lunch
I'll try playing mplayer while emacspeak talks.
Thanks, I will try the flite-1.2release patches as well a little
later.
Chheers.
Kalyan
