Under Debian, the libraries get version-specific names.
A server script starting
#!/usr/bin/tclsh8.3
load libtclx8.3.so.1
works here, but
#!/usr/bin/tclsh8.4
load libtclx8.4.so.1
segfaults after the first utterance.
What version of tcl are you using?
