addressing rmail through emacspeak

At a guess, I would suggest the problem is most likely due to your
mail transport agent (MTA) not being correctly configured. I'm not
sure what RH Fedora uses for an MTA by default, but suspect it is
either postfix or sendmail. 

Personally, I always configure mail by setting up the MTA - this then
means you can generally use any mail user agent (MUA) without having
to configure it correctly. However, setting up an MTA can be a little
complex, depending ont he MTA. Emacs does come with a program called
smtpmail, but I've never used it. I believe yu can use this program to
tell rmail (and other emacs MUAs) to relay the mail to your local smtp
server. 

You can probably find some useful information at
http://www.emacswiki.org. Personally, I would be considering either VM
or gnus for mail under emacs. I found rmail to be a little on the
'primitive' side. However, I've not tried it for about 10 years.
