Attached is a simple C utility which some may find useful in trying to
determine the best .asoundrc settings for running ViaVoice. The
utility sets basic HW params, such as channels, access type, rate and
format to the same as those set by atcleci.so. It then reads back
various values such as period time, bufrer size etc. I found using
some of this information and experimenting with a .asoundrc file, I
was able to get a stable ViaVoice environment without the underrun
problems that existed before. Your milage may very.
