I'm just confirming Raman's work to put back emacs 21 work-around for
the missing format-mode-line appears to work fine.
Also, the patch for term mode so that it works under X windows has
been incorporated into the SVN repository and appears to have fixed
the previous issues that existed with running term mode within emacs
and emacspeak under X.
