With
"GNU Emacs 21.4.1 (i486-pc-linux-gnu, X toolkit, Xaw3d scroll bars)
of 2006-10-25 on raven, modified by Debian"
and emacspeak "24.0 Revision 4275M"
the reading of the modeline fails with the follwoing error:
format-mode-line: Symbol's function definition is void: ems-format-mode-line
The trace is:
Debugger entered--Lisp error: (void-function ems-format-mode-line)
ems-format-mode-line((display-time-string))
format-mode-line(("" display-time-string))
emacspeak-speak-mode-line(nil)
